Siavash Cheraghipour has been reappointed as Secretary of the second Iran Open Air International Film Festival, as announced by Saeed Nejati, founder and president of the festival.
According to the festival’s Public Relations Office, Saeed Nejati, founder and president of the Iran Open Air International Film Festival, has reappointed Siavash Cheraghipour as Secretary of the event for a second term.
Born in 1963 in Qasr-e Shirin, Cheraghipour is an Iranian actor and graduate of the Anahita art Institute, holding a grade II artistic certification.
Since 1988, he has appeared in more than 70 theatre productions, alongside numerous feature films, television series, streaming productions, and short films.His screen credits include the feature films There’s Always a Woman in Between, No Men Allowed, Dance with Me and Conjugal visit, as well as the series The Bachelors, The Young Engineer, Jeyran, and The Chameleon, among others.In addition to his acting career, he has served on the jury of several theatre and film festivals and has also been active as an acting instructor. His honors include the Best Actor Award in Street Theatre at the Fajr International Theatre Festival and a Crystal Simorgh nomination for Best Supporting Actor for There’s Always a Woman in Between.
The inaugural edition of the Iran Open Air International Film Festival, founded by Saeed Nejati and organized by the Mowj-e Fakhteh Cultural and Artistic Institute, was held in May 2025 in Lahijan, northern Iran.
The second edition of the festival will be held internationally in northern Iran, with the official call for entries to be announced in the coming days.
