Shell Open Air (Brazil)

The Shell Open Air is one of Brazil’s largest and well-known film festivals, celebrated annually across multiple cities, including Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Brasília, Recife, and Belo Horizonte. Instead of being confined to a single location, the festival travels the country, offering audiences an unforgettable audiovisual experience.

Over three weeks, the festival showcases a diverse lineup of short and feature-length films, including domestic and international works, animations, and timeless classics. The event goes beyond cinema, incorporating live music concerts and other dynamic programs that enrich the overall experience.

At the heart of the festival is its impressive mobile cinema screen, measuring 325 square meters—equivalent to the size of a tennis court. When elevated, the screen reaches the height of a four-story building, creating an awe-inspiring viewing experience under the open sky. Founded by the D+3 company, a renowned organizer of cultural events in Brazil and Europe, the Shell Open Air continue
